According to PPM –
The south wall included the bezel of the
fictitious vault, which extended above the wall of the alcove: the wall
decoration with a white background had simple red squares, and a medallion with
bust in the two side panels.
The recess in the east wall allowed for the
placement of the bed in the alcove.
