Excavated 1894-1895. Linked to VI.15.27.
In Notizie degli Scavi, prior to January 1897, this house was described as being in Insula 12 of Reg. VI. Afterwards it was changed to Insula 15 of Reg. VI.

Next
to the lava threshold there is a marble slab, fixed with four pivots on which
the multi-leaf door was gathered.
The
marble threshold was inserted into the previous cocciopesto floor with
polychrome marble flakes and tiles.

The cocciopesto floor with polychrome
marble tiles and flakes arranged to outline a sort of central carpet dates back
to the 1st century BC.

“The central prospective was cut by the entrance doorway: here one sees the lower part of a figure seated on a throne;
the upper part was bare and the legs were covered by a grey cloak.”
